my girls | photos from today

It has been a while since I have gotten any photos of my girls with my big girl camera. Tonight we headed out for a few minutes and grabbed a couple shots.  My heart is bursting with how much they have grown over the last 6 months.  My littlest love has lost all of her babyness.  Suddenly I am looking into the face of a little girl and not the baby she was.  Oh and my sweet middle girl is now 7.  I still don't know quite how that happened.  It leaves me feeling quite old.


 

Oh how much I love them.  Even when they are being silly and all I got were these few photos out of the 100 I tried to take.  Goofballs.

Today I thought I would take a break from sharing my scrapbook pages to bring you some images I took for last weeks theme for Project 52.  I am following along with My Four Hens weekly lists on her blog.  It's nice to have some fresh ideas coming in to push me to try new things with my photos.  In truth, I have been quite bored lately.  Not anymore!  Now I cannot wait for the new weeks prompt to be posted so I can go out and shoot.

And I went out and took photos of the flowers on my trees in the back yard as well.  They bloomed too soon.  I am hoping the next owners of this house get some plums after the blooms have frozen.

Yesterday was absolutely lovely.  Not too hot or cold, no wind and lots of sunshine.  We took full advantage by playing in the sprinklers and coloring with the giant box of chalk I picked up for them.

I just love the outfits my daughter puts together. Today she asked for shorts so I gave her the pink shirt and shorts to wear. Then she wanted the striped sweater and the blue star shoes. I have so many little battles I fight with her every day. Writing her letters or learning a new shape, eating her lunch and dinner, not eating any candy before lunch or after dinner...I have just decided to let the clothes choices be. Besides, she is just so stinking cute even if she doesn't always match. ♥

In fact, she was so cute today that when I said no to a lollipop today at the store, the cashier just gave her one. 

 Can't say no to kindness either.

I had planned last year to be a frequent poster on this poor little blog.  Well, even with the best of intentions in mind, I failed.  Now I am about to try this again.  I have a month and one half of my project life for this year to post as well as a ton of photos to share.  Then there are scrapbook pages for my digital teams as well.  Hopefully with all of that I will be able to keep up the posting.  For today though, just a few photos from today.  My girls...

Snuggling with my littlest love this morning.



This afternoon they decided that they had to go outside to play legos on the makeshift tent I put over the swing.  It was soooo cold but I managed to grab a few photos anyway.  They are so pretty and growing up so fast.

My girlies were all wound up on Saturday evening so I decided to take them to the park to run around for a bit.  The one catch was that they had to let me take a few photos.  Sneaky, right?  Well, it worked and I got them all worn out for bed.  I honestly believe that was the fastest they have ever gone to sleep on a Saturday night.  Yah me!!
