rise and grind | kellie stamps

Coffee, one of my daily requirements for adulting.  My family has learned that if mama doesn't have  a mostly empty cup in her hand, don't talk to her.  haha  Ok, maybe it isn't THAT bad but I do need that one cup before I do much else,  I love the smell, the taste, the feel of the warm cup in my hand...all of the things that come with that first cup.  So of course, when Kellie Stamps came out with this fabulous new stamp set, I had to make an entire page all about my favorite food group.  Yes, coffee is a food group.  I don't care what anyone else says.  :)

adventure awaits | gossamer blue

Good morning friends!  I have my first page for Gossamer Blue to share with you today.  As soon as I got my kits and saw the circle stickers by Evaliscous and the buttons by Shimelle, I knew just what I wanted to do for this page.
My trusty silhouette came out and lots of circles in different sizes were cut to be layered together.

TIP:  I put 4 of the 6x6 papers on my mat and used photoshop to set up the different cuts on a 12x12 sheet before cutting.  That way I could cut all of them at once.  It allowed me to see what sizes were being cut for each pattern of paper, too.  It made for much easier layering when it came time to put the page together.

That is it for this post but I will have two more pages to share with you soon!

Go Glam! | Pink Paislee

Yesterday I had a new post go up at Pink Paislee.  This one is all about adding some shine to your pages.  I used the shiny silver alpha, glittery epoxy dots, shiny ephemera and color shine to add some subtle shimmer to the whole page.

#ourbackyard | take two

Today is a photo post.  I loved this theme so much I went out and took even more photos in our backyard.  This time it was in the morning.

I had coffee and she made a nest for her little bird.  The bird gave me kisses. So did she.  I snuggled her close and kissed her freckles while she giggled.

It was a welcome distraction, a change of pace...something new.  This morning was epic in its simplicity.
