happiness is a state of mind

Ever since Christmas when I opened up the Silhouette my family bought me, I have been crazy for hybrid.  I see every digital product as a potential "print and cut" project.  This new set of photo templates by Paislee Press is no exception.

I usually don't print dimensional items because they just don't tend to look "real" but this gorgeous blue flower was just screaming to be used.  I think it came out alright,

paper issues: pinspire me monday

There is another fabulous challenge at Paper Issues this morning.  I just love the pin this time.

The blues, browns and whites plus the grid inspired me to make this page of my girls.  I used a bakery bag I had saved from Starbucks and a few goodies from my stash to create this.

Paper Issues "pinspire me" challenge...

There is a new pinspire me Monday post on the Paper Issues Blog.  Corri picked a lovely color scheme this time.  I made a page using the scheme to share with you all.

Sometimes it is fun to be inspired by something new.  Head on over and try it out for yourself.  Any paper project will do.  Cards, Layouts, Art Journal entries, Tags...Whatever you are inspired to try.

I used bits and pieces of kits from Maggie Holmes, Amy Tangerine, Gossamer Blue and Studio Calico here.

January Project Life part 1

I went a little overboard with my January pages.  Just a little.  I am going to post half today and the other half tomorrow.  I'm sure you will notice that my page protectors are all different sizes.  In fact, I cut some of the full sized protectors in half this time.  It was just a fun way to add dimension to an otherwise "flat" book.  I'm not sure that is the best idea though since my book is already getting full and it's only March.  I may need several books to finish out the year.  lol
