December Blog Hop | Gossamer Blue

Good morning and welcome to my part of the Gossamer Blue blog hop.  This is always my favorite hop to follow.  So much inspiration!

Here is the page I created for you.

December Main Kit | Gossamer Blue

My littlest child and I are very close.  She is 5 years old, 45 lbs and still wants me to carry her.  She loves to cuddle me and is always close to me.  My husband and FIL joke that she is my oxygen.  She really is though.  I cannot imagine my life without her there.  When she starts to need me less will be a very sad day.

Thank you for stopping by to see my page.  Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Decorating The Mantle | Pink Paislee

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of lillylanephoto.blogspot.com. I do receive financial compensation and products from American Crafts to develop certain blog posts, but all of the ideas and opinions are my own.

I am not one to usually do a Christmas Countdown but for today we will pretend that I do.  haha  There are only 33 days till Christmas!
When I saw the marquee love tree in the box with my Yuletide collection I knew I was going to have to make something for my mantle with it.  I wanted to keep it kind of simple so it wouldn't take away from the tree when we put it up.  (I am a minimal decorator as well as a scrapper)

products used: Marquee Love Tree | Heidi Swapp  Yuletide Collection | Pink Paislee  Mini Trees + Deer | Target

I am by no means ready to start with all the Christmas at my house but I am so happy for this little bright spot in my living room.  The day after thanksgiving though...all bets are off and the tree is going up.

How do you decorate?  Are you all out Christmas or just a little like me?

here and now | pink paislee

Good morning!
I haven't posted in a while so I thought I would share two layouts with you today.

first page:
This first layout was made primarily with the memorandum collection.  I love how versatile it is.  It is an "office" collection but I was able to make this page with an adorable photo of my kids easily.  Easily one of my favorite pages, too.

Lately I have been drawn to triangles.  This time I didn't want to use a basic triangle so I hand cut a diamond shape out of two of my favorite papers.  Layered over a couple of paper strips and some stickers, this page came to life.

collection used: memorandum + stickers from cedar lane

second page:
This second page is mad using cedar lane.  I love using strips of paper when I scrap.  Honestly, it takes up a lot of space on the page without taking away from the photo.  I like that.  I really want my photos to be the star of my pages and the products I use just dress them up.

collection used: cedar lane + bits from  memorandum

Thank you for stopping by to have a look at my pages today.
Have a lovely day!

fall wreath | pink paislee

This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of lillylanephoto.blogspot.com. I do receive financial compensation and products from American Crafts to develop certain blog posts, but all of the ideas and opinions are my own.

Good morning!

This morning I have a fun little project to share with you.  A wreath!  It is a very small wreath so I plan to hang it in my house as opposed to being a front door wreath.  I am thinking maybe above my desk where I can look at the prettiness that is Cedar Lane.  This is by far my favorite Pink Paislee collection.  It is great as a fall collection but is also wonderful for so many other things.  Last week I made a layout with my little girl sleeping and this collection was perfect.

For today though, a wreath for fall.

It is really simple to put together, too.  I used several papers from the collection (both sides for variety), a wreath from Michaels and a hot glue gun.  The leaf pattern I used is this one from ABM

I had originally planned out the cuts with my Silhouette but it stopped working right as I went to cut everything.  Funny enough I was glad it did.  It took me a little longer to cut the leaves but I love how it turned out.

Isn't that glue gun awesome?  It is battery operated and has a little light on the front.  I can say for certain my old glue gun may just find itself in the drawer permanently.

The final wreath:

Sometimes small is just right.  I think this little wreath is a good fit for my minimally decorated home.
What have you made for your home lately?  I'd love to see!

september blog hop | gossamer blue

Good morning all and welcome to this months Gossamer Blue blog hop.

This months kits were just amazing.  One of my absolute favorites to date.

This page is also one of my favorites.

I have to give you a little back story on this photo from a hike we took around a little lake near our house.  She was in such a hurry to get back to the car to eat lunch.  In creating this page I was actually using a bit of sarcasm.  She is not my adventurous child at all.  She doesn't like bugs and freaked out at all the noises when we were walking.  Not to say she had no fun at all, she was just done.  In spite of that, I did truly love that moment when I saw her walking ahead and forging her own little path.  She is herself no matter what and I love that.

That's it from me today.  Head on around the rest of the girls blogs to continue to be inspired.  Each one of these ladies on the list has something amazing for you.  You won't be disappointed!

i love right now | gossamer blue

Good Morning!

I have a fun page for you today made with the September Main Kit from Gossamer Blue.  This kit is seriously gorgeous.  It is so full of whimsy.
This page was literally thrown together by just cutting out papers and seeing how I could fit them on the page.  Sometimes I like to be random like that.  haha  In the end I loved how it came out.  It is ver different for me but I felt it suited the photo really well.

GB September Main Kit  + doily from my stash

Have you ever just randomly made a page without thought or plan?  How did it turn out?  I'd love to see!

the ocean | kellie stamps

Good Morning!!!

Today I have a fun layout for you.  Our trip to Myrtle Beach was so much fun.  I took tons of photos of the beach.  The dunes, walking paths and waves.  I couldn't get enough.  The ocean has always been my second favorite place on the planet so every chance we get to go, I take it.

This page is all layers, stamping and coloring.  My other favorite things.  I used my watercolor pencils to "color" in the stamps and give them a little extra oompf.

Hope you have a lovely day...
