loved | kellie stamps

Hello Everyone!

I'm here today to share another page with Kellie Stamps new release for August.

There is just something about a sleeping babe.  Even if they aren't really babies anymore.  This little munchkin turns 5 in just a few weeks.  Oh, and she starts school at the end of the month too.  Needless to say, I am soaking up every moment of this that I can.

I adore this kit by Simple Stories.  I have so much of it and use bits of it on a lot of my pages.  This time I thought it would be perfect for this photo of my sleepy love.  It is soft and delicate plus the little pops of gold are perfect.
The stamps from Kellie Stamps are equally perfect.  I love the block style of the letters I used for the word "loved."  I stamped them in black but as I added more touched of gold to the layout I realized they needed more.  I have an awesome gold paint pen and used it to color in the stamped letters.  That was the final touch this page needed.

What collection do you fall back on regularly? or do you prefer to use newer collections exclusively?

yah summer! | gossamer blue blog hop

Good morning and welcome to the Gossamer Blue blog hop!

Today's page is from this summer at the pool.  We were lucky enough to end up in a neighborhood that has a pool right around the corner from our house.  We have spent a lot of time there.  Kaitlyn has learned to swim without her floaties, Kiara is swimming well enough to make it to the end of the pool and back and Kale has made a lot of new friends.  It has been such a blessing.

This page was made using the Main Scrapbook Kit.

I LOVED this kit.  The bright colors and the summer theme are helping me get through the last bits of our summer.  It is already starting to cool down here and I am trying to drag it out as long as I can.

Thank you for stopping by to have a look at my page today.  I am adding the list of the rest of the teams amazing work.  You won't want to miss any of it!

we were here | kellie stamps

Today's post is brought to you by Kellie Stamps and lots of caffeine.  I am dying to go back to the beach already but for now I am just reliving our trip from a few weeks ago while making some scrap pages.  I can still feel the sun and smell the salt in the air while I sit here typing this up.  That is what this hobby is all about to me.  Remembering the fun things we do as a family.

This page was made using my August Gossamer Blue kits and the newest set of stamps by Kellie Stamps.  This set is called "Seriously?" and is one of my absolute faves.

Lately I have been loving grid style layouts.  All the little pieces from the GB kits fit perfectly here making a very busy but photo-centric page.  This is absolutely my favorite photo from our beach trip.  I love it so much I may actually scrap it a few times.  haha

Hope you are having a lovely summer and have lots of time to put those memories to paper.  Don't forget to get on over to Kellie's store and pre-order your stamps.  They start shipping the 15th!

brunch | kellie stamps

Hello all!  I have yet another page to share.  This has been a wonderfully busy month!
Today's page is a little different.  I decided to document my recent trip to Chick-Fil-A with the newest food stamp by Kellie Stamps : "Brunch" by making a "project life" style page.
Now, we don't eat out very much.  It's more of a hassle to wrangle my 3 children to dinner (or lunch) than it is to just make a meal.  This day was really special for my kids because they had certificates from VBS for free kids meals so I took them out.  It was pure chaos.  I think everyone had the same idea that we did to go out to lunch.  We, by sheer luck, actually found a parking space otherwise we were going to just go home.  haha  I am not comfortable with lots of people and I was ready to just drive off.  Oh the sacrifices I make for my children.

(Turns out, it was more of a sacrifice than I thought.  As much as I enjoyed this salad at the time, my stomach did not love it over the next four days.  It was not pretty.)

In spite of my discomfort, the kids had a fantastic time and I had something to put in my little "book of me".

hello good life | pink paislee

(disclaimer: This is a personal blog. All editorial content and projects are intellectual property of lillylanephoto. I do receive financial compensation and products from American Crafts to develop certain blog posts, but all of the ideas and opinions are my own.)

I have something awesome to share with you today.  Well, awesome to me anyway.  I made a FULL PAGE layout!  It is 12x12 and nearly every inch has something on it.  NOT my usual style but I really love how it came out.

the layout:

Even with all the extras on here, it was a super easy page to create.  I used one of my favorite tools, my silhouette cameo, to create the number strip and the circles.  All that was left was to layer on the details.  I think my favorite thing has to be the gold thickers.  They add some pop and draw your eye straight down to the photos.  Oh and by the way, the photos are extra special to me.  I shot those with my Nikon film camera...on manual.  I was so proud of myself when I got the scans back.  haha
Also, frames are really hard for me to use.  I struggle with placing them over my photos since they never really fit.  Here I just added them as another element to the page and layered them with the thickers and other elements.  I think I just may try using frames more often, just in more unconventional ways.

#myselfiescrapbook | week 1

The other day I was scrolling through instagram and found a photo with this tag #myselfiescrapbook on one of my fave IG'rs (@giveagirlablog) photos.  Of course I had to check it out.  While reading the original post I was intrigued and decided to give it a try.  I already have a little "about me" book going so I figured this would just fit right in. I am super behind and still working on week one.  I may try to play catch-up and do more than one photo a day.  We will see.
For now, here are my first 4 photos scrapped.
